Chinese Massage / Tui-Ná

Is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with Acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping. Tui-Ná is a hand on body treatment that uses Chinese Taoist and Martial Arts principles in an effort to bring the eight principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) into balance. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll/press and rub the areas between each of the joints, known as the right gates. to attempt to open the body defensive (WEI) chi and get the energy moving in the meridians and the muscles, techniques may be gentle or quite firm.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu Massage (finger pressure massage) is a traditional Japanese massage in which the practitioner uses his or her fingers and palms, elbow to put pressure on different parts of the body.

Shiatsu is based on the holistic system of the traditional Chinese medicine, where illness is thought to result from imbalances in the natural flow of energy through the body. A scientific explanation is the Shiatsu calms an overactive sympathetic nervous system, which improves circulation, relieves sore muscles, and alleviates stress.
